NSPL c’est le trip halluciné d’un concertiste classique dans le monde du punk Do-It-Yourself. C’est la rencontre d’un quadragénaire cultivé et d’une bande de jeunes artistes bricoleurs. C’est un suicide fantasmé qui se transforme en album fougueux, un instant suspendu de réflexion sur la mort par un irascible collectif de vivants.
Au fil des 9 « chants » de son apocalypse cathartique, Antoine Joly scande les ultimes instants d’un cerveau au bord de l’explosion. Un quartet de noise-rock cogne, hurle et siffle dans son dos. On croit voir le
fantôme de Gainsbourg invité à un soundcheck des Swans.
