With ‘Ambiance’, Ølten step away from the binary formula, in favor grit, nuance, and ruthlessness. The result is a corporal convulsion, leaving behind chronic cramps, heavy breathing, and a sickening feeling deep down in the gut.

This album breaks conventions with most post-metal. It at once can be played next to shoegaze then breaks out into a fury of aggression and still remain catchy. For my money Rosetta are at the top of the food chain. After all the amazing albums Rosetta has, it boggles the mind that they can still innovate and surprise me. I love that I can play this next bands as diverse as Ride, Slowdive, Joy Division, The Cure, Godflesh, and Neurosis. It's a pure delight on the ears. Bryon Wilson
Such subtle and rich experience, sucks you right from the opening riff into a haunting, beautiful whirlpool. Full of vivid and emotional details that paints an abstract picture of our late postmodern times. The production is top-notch and there's always new sonical tentacles fading in and out making the pieces very dynamic. Just the right ratio of majors and minors. This is masterful art. 𝙅𝙤𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙡
